Michael Greenfield Model G-1 with custom Larry Robinson inlay
Michael Greenfield describes this guitar as "over the top".   I think that would characterize every instrument I have ever seen of Michael's!   This luthier does not use 'good' materials or even 'the best'.  He only utilizes the best of the best Master grade tone woods and hardware!

The model G-1 serial number 2332 pictured on this page features a 15 3/8" lower bout,  parabolic Bearclaw Alpine spruce top,  hand carved & tapered German spruce bracing,  solid Spanish cedar linings,  120 year old Brazilian rosewood back & sides,  tuned soundbox,  ebony body bindings,  Laskin arm & rib rests,  abalone & spalted maple rosette,  16" radius ebony fingerboard bound in ebony,  1 3/4" nut width,  special commissioned Larry Robinson inlay,  7-piece carbon graphite reinforced quilted mahogany neck,  bone nut & saddle and  gold plated Waverly tuners with ebony buttons.  This guitar is supplied with a custom Deluxe Calton flight case.

This is one of those new instruments that, right from the start, exhibits an immediate response, an open voice and a sensitivity to even the lightest right hand attack.  As this guitar matures  I would envision the midrange developing an even richer glow,  but I can't imagine that it is possible to get any more response out of a single guitar!!!
