The Kenny Hill concert classical guitars have received such an amazing response from both our in-store and internet customers that we have decided to expand the line to include the "Barcelona" model. Built in the style of Ignacio Fleta, this model reproduces many unique structural elements.

Fleta was one of the great inovators of 20th century guitar design. With a waiting list nearly 20 years long and extremely high prices, the Fleta guitars were completely out of reach for most players. He was one of the very few luthiers that were prominent in the 1960's and 70's to not marry a long scale length with cedar tops.  He was also one of the few classical builders to use a dovetail neck joint, slightly higher bridge and overall more robust construction.  Yet this Fleta style instrument produces exceptional power and a deep, rich sustain for a full-voiced concert sound.  Played by masters such as John Williams, Andres Segovia, Alirio Diaz and many others, these highly recorded Fletas redefined the modern classical guitar sound, offering new tonal colours and brilliance without sacrificing the essential nature of the guitar as an instrument of expression.  The incredible projection of this model makes it well suited for ensemble work or solo concert performance.
