It's always exciting to receive a new model concert classical guitar, especially one as unique and advanced as the new Ruck model from the Kenny Hill Guitar Company.  Designed by legendary luthier Robert Ruck, this guitar creates a completely new experience for player and audience. It is louder, sweeter and uniquely captivating.

The essential new elements are disarmingly simple. First, the soundboard fan is modified. Every other fan bar is wider, and very thin. These 3 wide braces offer a large surface to control the doming of the top. The nature of lamination offers a great deal of strength with very little mass. This spreads soundboard control more evenly, giving a very responsive top, and offering the player the ability to mold the sound coming out of the instrument.

Second, there are two 30 mm. holes sawn in the upper shoulders of the sides!!! These extra sound holes seem to give the instrument extra power, especially in the higher registers where lesser student models often fail.

This new design of classical guitar seems to genuinely represent a welcome step forward in the evolution of nylon strung concert instruments!
