enjoyed a rich history of stringed instrument building that has never been
stronger than today!
The Verythin Standard pictured above is
one of the Hofner company's most popular jazz guitars for the professional
musician. The ultra thin body makes it incredibly comfortable to
hold, while the double cutaway body design in tandem with a fast
22 fret neck makes access to the upper registers effortless! This
instrument addresses the age old problem of feedback by hand-fitting a
light weight internal spruce sustain block between the top and back.
This increases the feedback threshold without killing the acoustic properties
that add so much to a great jazz tone! If you get a chance,
put an ear on these Hofner "Top Shelf" pickups. They really
do have great clarity even with the treble rolled off to a darker timbre!
