Larrivee model D-50 and D-60 !
I can't remember a Larrivee model  that has prompted as much buzz on the street and on discussion groups,  as the the new "50" & "60" series instruments.  Well,  we've finally just received our first D-50 (mahogany) and D-60 (rosewood) models and they are ABSOLUTELY SUPERB!!!!!!

The model D-60 pictured above features an enlarged 4 1/4" soundhole,  premium abalone shell rosette,  rolled edge 'tortoiseshell' pickguard,  diamond fingerboard inlays,  hand fit dovetail neck joint,  herringbone top marquetry,  maple binding with b/w/b fillet, ebony fingerboard bound in grained ivoroid,  ebony bridge with intonation compensated saddle,  carved peghead 'dart' and precision butterbean tuners with intricately engraved buttons!!!

Jean-Claude Larrivee personally designed and monitored production of this latest powerhouse guitar from his workshop.  The result is a guitar with the signature Larrivee clarity and tonal complexity but with much more 'wood' character in the lower mids.  When you attack this guitar aggressively with a flatpick,  the notes don't 'bloom',  they explode with a velocity I rarely associate with guitars of the dreadnought size.  In short;  this guitar is breathtaking!

P.S.  Keep your eyes open for the OM-50 and OM-60 guitars, coming soon from Larrivee!
