| The new Larrivee "50" and "60"
series guitars, featuring vintage style appointments, have
captured the attention of guitar players all over the world. I see
these guitars getting rave reviews on a wide variety of discussion groups
and chat rooms and we have certainly had great feedback from our in-store
customers.
The OM-60 pictured above was
sold to us as a "second" because of slight finish imperfections on the
front edge of the bridge (almost invisible) and is selling for $600.00
less than the full price, complete with lifetime warranty. This instrument
features a solid bookmatched Sitka spruce top, solid East Indian
rosewood back and sides, ebony fingerboard and bridge, mahogany neck with
squared headstock and vintage 'neck dart', herringbone top marquetry,
gloss lacquer finish and 'butter bean' precision tuners with engraved buttons!
This series of instruments seems
to have a bit more sweetness in the lower mids, a bit more of that
nice 'dry' sound that older Orchestra Models develop when they've had time
to open up, but still has that signature Larrivee detail in the upper
partials; definitely worth putting an ear on if you get the chance! |
