| Our second F-style mandolin
from the Morgan Monroe company is from their "Collection Series" and features
a solid carved Sitka spruce top with solid carved quilted maple back &
sides, 14-fret neck joint, body binding top and back,
'fern' peghead inlay and intricate 'vine' fingerboard inlays.
The sound quality
of this model is the best we've heard from an F-style of this price point
for decades. The woody cutting power of this MCM-T is reminiscent
of the early Japanese made Washburn and Kentucky mandolins of the eighties. |
