| Here is another all solid wood
F-style mandolin in the very affordable Morgan Monroe line of instruments.
The MMS-2 pictured above features a solid carved spruce top, solid carved
sycamore back and sides, solid maple neck, bound rosewood fingerboard
with traditional foliage inlays, gold plated hardware, adjustable
bridge and suspended pickguard/fingerest.
The tone of these mandolins
puts me in mind of the early high quality Japanese made F-style mandolins
with a good throaty bark and very decent cutting power! |
