| The
National Reso-phonic company of California usually sticks pretty close
in design to it's original issues from the 1930's, but in the case of the
Radio Tone Bendaway they have made an exception. This new model has
solid maple sides and a laminate wood top and back. It has a great modern
look with its slotted sound ports. The treble side is bent away from the
neck to the 15th fret with single layer binding front-to-side. The hardrock
maple neck has an unbound rosewood fretboard and solid peghead with an
art deco decal. The finish is a medium-light walnut burst. The guitar
pictured above arrived last week and compares very favourably both in power
and tone to our stock of more traditional resonator guitars! |
