National Reso-phonic Mandolin

      The National Reso-phonic Company of California has just produced their first mandolins since WWII !!!  I've played some of the original issues and while some of them could be a bit harsh sounding if attacked aggressively,  this new wood body version has a much more haunting and lyrical overall character.

     This new National mandolin features a unique ported soundwell,  9 1/2" biscuit & cone assembly,  radiused fingerboard and a gorgeous looking aged brass coverplate and tailpiece that gives this instrument a very appealing retro appearance!

Specifications:

*  1 7/32" wide bone nut
*  bound radiused ebony fingerboard
*  14" scale length
*  adjustable truss rod
*  precision tuning machines
*  carved walnut back & sides
* flamed maple top
*  9." cone with biscuit bridge
*  intonated saddle
*  proprietary National mandolin tailpiece
*  aged brass coverplate
