| Absolutely everything about this
mandolin appeals to me! I don't think 60 seconds elapsed from
the time I spotted this instrument on the Weber Mandolin website,
to when I placed my order!!! If I had known then how extraordinary
sounding this custom Bitterroot was, I'm sure I could have shaved
that down to 30 seconds! That is no hype. This mandolin
sounds just breath-taking!!!
Anyone who has played an F-4 style
mandolin recognizes the slightly more 'round' tonality that an oval hole
brings to the sonic equation. Bruce Weber has added his own
slant on this traditional design by adding an X-brace system as opposed
to the normal single transverse brace below the soundhole. This pattern
very definitely adds crisper note definition as well as a much more powerful
projection. I LOVE THIS THING!!!!!!
