Here’s a 1973 Fender Twin Reverb Amplifier!

Fender started producing the Twin Amplifier in 1952, and with a variety of changes, produced it until 1963, when it was replaced by the quite different Twin Reverb Amp – the differences are much more than the addition of a reverb tank.

The Twin Reverb amp uses four 6L6 tubes and a solid-state rectifier to deliver 85 watts of pretty clean, LOUD power, with both reverb and opto-coupler tremolo circuits added. This amp has been the standard amp on countless stages and tours, for a wide variety of musical styles, wherever clean volume is needed — though the reverb channel has an extra gain stage, and will break up a bit sooner than the ‘clean’ channel. I clearly remember seeing stacks of Twin Reverbs at Maple Leaf Gardens, used by Johhny Winter and Rick Derringer.

This 1973 example is in good working order and uses the AB763 circuit. It’s also, thankfully, had casters installed and has tilt-back legs. A cover is also included.
