2011 Melancon Pro Artist No Longer Available

Comments Here’s a 2011 Melancon Pro Artist in a very, very good Mary Kaye White lacquer finish.

Gerard Melancon builds guitars out of Thibodaux, Lousiana. He grew up with lots of great Cajun and country music in his family and the surrounding area, gigged with a number of rock bands and played sessions before gradually shifting to guitar building.

This is a very high-quality instrument and I have to say that the finish is one of the best I’ve seen. The Mary Kaye White” is a the pinkish-white, transluscent finish used by Fender in 1954, and was seen being used by Mary Kaye with her trio in 1956.

It plays very well, and is bright, resonant and articulate too.
