We are currently taking delivery of  F-5 and A-5 mandolins hand crafted by master luthier Rostislav Capek (pronounced "Chupic"). Rostislav completed his studies at the prestigious Luby u Chebu Violin Making School of Czechoslovakia in 1985.  He went on to do post graduate studies in luthierie at Hradec Kralove at which point he had found his life's work of hand building superb quality mandolins and banjos. 

           Capek Mandolin's  flawless craftsmanship and powerful voice has attracted quite an underground following in North America. Performers using Capek's creations now include and Radim Zenkl!!! The mandolin pictured below features a hand graduated European spruce top, highly flamed Tyrolean maple back & sides, gold tailpiece and tuners, adjustable truss rod and hand inlaid abalone "Capek" logo and "flowerpot" motif. This instrument is world class and compares favorably with our Gibson, Weber, Flatiron and Woodley F's.
