The Blueridge Carter Stanley Memorial guitar pays tribute to a highly influential bluegrass guitarist, singer and songwriter. Carter Stanley was born in 1925 and died in 1966, after many years working with his band The Stanley Brothers with The Clinch Mountain Boys.

A full size traditional dreadnought, the Blueridge Carter Stanley Memorial - model BR1060 - features a solid Sitka spruce top, solid Indian Rosewood back and sides, mahogany neck and ebony for the fingerboard and bridge. Abalone hexagonal position markers adorn the neck, and the headstock sports an inlaid dove done in abalone and mother of pearl. The tuning machines are Grover Roto-Matics and the nut and saddle are bone.

This guitar was built in 2006 and has just been set up in our shop. It plays quite well and sounds great - ideally suited to Bluegrass rhythm playing. A capo, strap and Oasis humidifier are included as well as an Everest hardshell case.
