Built in 2006, this is an early example of the Collings Eastside LC. Current versions ship with a Lollar Charlie Christian pickup, but at this point the pickups were often Lollar Imperials. Laminate woods are used on guitars of this type because they are far better at feedback rejection than solid woods, and at any stage or studio volume this is a big issue! Collings finishes are carefully applied nitrocellulose lacquer, and are some of the best I have ever seen. It takes a lot of work to get a very high quality nitro finish, and Collings never shirks. This guitar is now 11 years old, and it has been played so there is some wear and a few small bumps and scuffs but overall it is very clean. Fretwear is light. The original Collings hardshell case is included.
