Heritage guitars are built in Kalamazoo, Michigan, in the old, historic Gibson facilities, using machinery from Gibson. Many of the key staff were Gibson employees who did not want to move to Nashville.

The Heritage H535 is a take on the classic thinline, archtop electric concept. As usual for this design, the body is maple laminate - because at volume, laminate is better for feedback rejection than solid wood - with a maple center block. The neck is one piece of mahogany, with an ebony fingerboard. The Heritage H535 an all-original, very high quality guitar, and this example features a gloss black lacquer finish, low-wind Lollar humbucking pickups, and jumbo stainless steel frets. It is in excellent condition, from both physical and playability perspectives, and comes with the original hardshell case.
