S/N: 546, dates to 2011 in Santa Cruz, California.
With elegant simplicity, the Santa Cruz 1929 OO mahogany top model reflects the classic instruments made for players enduring the Great Depression that began in 1929.
Vintage style features include scalloped bracing, a period correct script style logo in Ivoroid and beautifully executed Ebony pyramid bridge, bridge pins, tuner buttons, head-plate and fretboard. The rosette, honoring the austerity of the period, uses a faux tortoise ring set in a vintage Ivoroid border.
Typical of the era, the 12-fret neck is a traditional V profile and has a scale length of 24.75 inches, and a nut width of 1.75 inches.
This instrument is in very good condition with just a few small dings, mostly on the binding. It definitely has the sound of a vintage OO style instrument, and plays very well.
An arched top hardshell case is included.
