Empress or Kiri - the proper name is Paulownia Tomentosa - is a fast-growing wood found in central and western China, and is commonly used to build Japanese musical instruments, particularly the Koto. The Paulownia tree grows so quickly, it can be harvested in 10 years. It has clear, straight knot-free grain and is an excellent choice for sustainable forestry, and we'll likely see it used more in the future.

This Empress Telecaster dates to 2012 and is in excellent condition. It's extremely comfortable to play, with a weight of 6.2 pounds, and it has the snap and clarity of ash or alder Telecasters. THe oiriginal black hardshell case is included.
