Lakland basses have been around since 1994 and are well known among pro players as premium instruments. The Skyline series brings the Lakland design to a wider audience and a lower price level.
Built with an ash body, and maple neck with rosewood fretless fingerboard using contrasting fret markers, this Lakland Skyline 55-01 5 string bass in great, original condition. For hardware, the tuners are by Hipshot and the electronics are Bartolini MK-1 split coil soapbar pickups coupled with the Bartonlini MK-1 preamp set. This provides cut and boost for bass, midrange and treble and a panning control, in addition to the master volume.
Lakland completes this bass in Chicago, Illinois, after the fundamental parts of the bass are built in Indonesia. This provides a higher level of quality control while keeping costs down.
