1968 Fender Telecaster Blonde (consignment) SOLD

The Fender Telecaster has been an extremely popular design since its introduction as the Broadcaster in 1950. Its tonal versatility, reliability and durability led to its use in a huge range of musical genres.

On this 1968 Fender Telecaster, the blonde finish is in good original condition with some yellowing due to age. All parts other than strings are original.

The neck date reads 3FEB68B, and the pot codes date the electronic components to 1966. It’s been played but the wear is minimal. The ‘Telecaster’ portion of the decal has flaked off, but the rest is there.

The tone and playability are classic Telecaster. It’s rich and full sounding with lots of clear, well articulated treble, and the action is fully adjustable. The neck profile is the 1960’s oval and is .810 inches deep at the nut, with the ‘B’ nut width – 1 5/8 inches. It’s very comfortable and playable.
