1977 Guild X-175 Blonde Manhattan Archtop (consignment) SOLD

Here is a very nice 1977 Guild X-175 Blonde Manhattan Archtop. Guild archtops are not extremely common, but are highly valued. Originally drawing from the heritage of the Epiphone workforce, Guild has produced many extremely good instruments over the years. They feature solid, practical designs, excellent wood selection, and top level craftsmanship.

With a spruce top and laminate maple back, sides and maple and walnut neck, the Guild X-175 is a great jazz box; it’s got a full, rich tone with a snappy response not readily available with laminate tops. The maple neck is paired with a rosewood fingerboard and mother of pearl block position markers; the scale length is 24.75 inches. The body width is 17 inches and its depth is 3 3/8 inches. It has its original Guild pickups with master volume wiring, and the original rosewood adjustable bridge.

This is a full size, fully professional level working guitar and it’s ready to go.

This 1977 Guild X-175 Blonde Manhattan Archtop is in very clean condition, looking like it’s hardly been played. There is one small ding near the tailpiece but otherwise it is close to pristine.

Serial Number: 154693, built during 1977 at the Guild plant in Westerly, Rhode Island.

Pricing: $1,850.00 Canadian with original Guild case. SOLD
