Neck Mahogany neck with bound ebony fingerboard, mother of pearl dot markers.
Frets 20 narrow frets with some wear in the lower positions.
Body Carved spruce top with mahogany back and sides.
Finish Lacquer finish; blonde top, mahogany tint on neck, back and sides. Some finish wear on neck and next to the bass side of the tailpiece.
Hardware/electronics EBony bridge, nickel tuners with ivoroid buttons. Ivoroid pickguard with ‘Pat. Mar.30.’09.’ stamp.
Playability/Action Plays very well, bright and clear with a warm tone.
Case Original fiber case included.
Comments This is one of the best examples of this kind of instrument we’ve seen for a long time. Rarely do we see unaltered mandolins of this age; it plays very well, sounds great, and is in excellent condition.
