Neck Mahogany neck with unbound rosewood fingerboard. 24 5/8″ scale length and 1 5/8″ nut width. Gold Gibson decal on the head. There is no headplate.
Frets Original frets with minor wear.
Body Small body, solid mahogany back and laminated mahogany sides with bound solid spruce top. Adjustable rosewood bridge and black plastic pickguard.
Finish Original natural nitrocellulose lacquer finish in good condition, some pick marks on the top.
Hardware/electronics Original Strip gears with plastic buttons, one gear screw has been replaced. Adjustable rosewood saddle. Bridge has been reglued recently in our shop.
Playability/Action Plays very well, this guitar is ready to go!
Case Fiber (‘cardboard’) case included.
Comments Produced from 1962 – 1977, The B25 was available in both sunburst and as this 1967 example here, in a natural finish – the B25N. For many players, this was their first ‘real’ guitar. The B-25, like the LG-0, was a quality guitar at a reasonable price.Note: This is a correction to the original identification of this instrument as an LG-0.
