Neck Aluminum neck with walnut inserts, ‘Ebonol’ fingerboard with mother of pearl inlays. Zero fret and aluminum nut.
Frets 22 frets, medium jumbo wire, minor wear in the low positions.
Body Laminated walnut and birdseye maple body.
Finish Lacquer finish in reasonable shape, a few dings and scratches.
Hardware/electronics Two Kramer humbucking pickups with chrome covers and wood trim rings. Pickup selector and independent volume and tone controls. Six-saddle adjustable bridge, and the strings hook on the bridge plate. Chrome Schaller tuning gears.
Playability/Action Plays quite well, and has rather a lot of sustain. It is a bolt-on construction, so the geometry can be adjusted to meet the requirements of any style.

Comments Kramer built these guitars during a period when maximum sustain was highly sought after, and many makers used materials like aluminum and rock maple. Kramer used wodden inserts on the back of the neck to warm up the feel. These instruments are fairly rare, and they are well-made and interesting.
