The Gibson J-35 was originally produced in 1936, the J-35 was displaced by the classic (and slightly more expensive) J-45, and went out of production in 1942. About 3000 were originally made.
The headstock has the vintage Gibson script logo and the “Only A Gibson Is Good Enough” banner.
The new J-35 features everything the original had – and more! Now, the nut and saddle are Tusq for easier tuning and the guitar comes stock with the L.R. Baggs Element pickup system. The headstock has the vintage Gibson script logo and the “Only A Gibson Is Good Enough” banner.
This is a really great sounding guitar, and the slightly shorter scale length – it’s the same as the Gibson standard for electric guitars – helps make it very comfortable.
