The Twelfth Fret ~ Since 1977 ~

National Reso-Phonic ResoRocket Steel Guitar

The National Reso-Phonic Reso Rocket is one of National’s newly designed single resonator guitars. The Reso Rocket incorporates a redesigned coverplate pattern to complement the distinctive Tricone-style grille work and the upper bout has been cut away for easier access to the higher frets.

The single cone, biscuit bridge design used in the National ResoRocket provides a loud, brash metallic tone – especially when paired with a metal body! – compared to the warmer tone from single cone spider bridge models, which are favoured more for bluegrass styles. But for blues styles, especially those from the southern US areas like the Mississipi Delta, this is the way to go for tone.

Visit the National Reso-Phonic website and learn more about the National ResoRocket!

And if you wanted to ask – yes, the dark markings on the guitar are reflections from the ceiling!
