Jose Romanillos was born in in Madrid, Spain during 1932 and has built top
level concert grade guitars in England since 1961.    His son Liam  began apprenticing in 1982, and in 1991 became a partner in J.L. Romanillos & Son.

Jose Romanillos retired to Spain in 1995.

Romanillos guitars are very highly regarded.  The late Julian Bream used and promoted them extensively.
