Here is a rarity – a Patt Lister Classical Guitar built in Collingwood, Ontario during 1970 and featuring a lattice braced back and concentric fan braced top. This Patt Lister Classical guitar uses a Red Cedar top paired with Maple for the sides and back, with Spanish Cedar for the neck and Spruce for the tall top and back bracing. The fingerboard is Ebony, while both the bridge and head plate are Indian Rosewood.

Built in a modern style, this Beneteau Flamenco model uses a Cedar top paired with Cypress for the sides and back. The neck is Flamed Mahogany and uses a bolt construction rather than the traditional Spanish ‘Slipper Heel’ design.

Built in Muro de Alcoy, Alicante, Spain, the Alhambra Crossover CSLR features a solid Red Cedar top, with Indian Rosewood for the sides, back, head plate, fingerboard and bridge. The body is based on a standard classical design but includes a cutaway and shaped heel.

Here we are looking at a Kenny Hill Hauser 37 Classical guitar, built during 2005 in Ben Lomond California. Kenny Hill has been building since the mid 1970s and is highly respected. The Hauser 37 model recreates a guitar played for many years by Andres Segovia. This Kenny Hill Hauser 37 model features a European Spruce top, Indian Rosewood sides, back, headplate and bridge, with a Mahogany neck and ebony fingerboard. The headstock features a traditional style V joint. The scale length is 650mm and the nut width 51.3mm or 2.02 inches.

Here is a rarity for North America – a Julian Mario Rabaza Crossover guitar dating to 1982 and built at Rabaza’s shop in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Julian Mario Rabaza has been well known South American circles for decades, and mostly builds Spanish style Classical and Flamenco guitars. This example is what we would now call a ‘Crossover’ model, meaning that it has a couple of adaptations for those playing other styles – Tango and Latin Jazz for example.
