Furch Blue SW Grand Auditorium Natural, 2018 (No Longer Available)

This Furch Blue SW from 2018 sports a Grand Auditorium style body with a Sitka Spruce top and Black Walnut back and sides. The neck is Mahogany with Ebony used for the fingerboard, bridge and head plate. The finish is a light, open-pore style offering minimal resistance to vibration. This guitar plays well, and has a warm, balanced tone.

This Masaki Sakurai Concert-R Spruce top classical guitar from 2001 is a good illustration of the higher ends of Japanese guitar construction. Masaki Sakurai is the nephew of the late, renowned guitar builder Masaru Kohno. After taking an electrical engineering degree, he chose to work at his Uncle’s Tokyo guitar shop.

Vega Pete Seeger 'Earl Robinson' Longneck Banjo, 1966

This Vega Pete Seeger banjo was purchased by American composer Earl Robinson in 1966 while he was writing his ‘Concerto for Five String Banjo’. This was first performed by the Boston Pops orchestra under Arthur Fiedler. From the late 1930’s into the 1960’s, Earl Robinson composed a number of well known, largely topical pieces including ‘Joe Hill’ ‘Ballad for Americans’, ‘Black and White’ and ‘Lonesome Train’, performed by many top artists.

Michael Tuttle has been operating Tuttle Guitars since 2003. He began building professionally in 1993 and spent some years with Valley Arts and Don Grosh before establishing his own shop.

Here we have a Hans Raab Munich Style Guitar built of Spruce, Maple and Ebony during 1916 in Munich, Germany – during WWI. Hans Raab and his son built many instruments in a wide range of styles, from the mid 1880’s to World War II. They were well known for not just the number of instruments built and their variety – their catalog was apparently quite large – but also for the quality of their work.

❌SOLD❌  BC Rich Bich Supreme Maple Natural, 1995

Designed by Neal Moser while Bernardo Rico was out of the country, the BC Rich Bich first appeared in the 1976 catalog as a 10-string model. Like most other BC Rich models of the time, the Bich used a neck-through design with ‘wings’ added to provide the body shape for the center neck-body section. The BC Rich Bich Supreme seen here is in great condition with very little wear.
