Based on early 1950’s models, the Gretsch Nashville 6120DSW model is probably the iconic Gretsch with its G brand in the top and ‘Western’ motif inlays. A fully hollow guitar with tone bars and a soundpost for support, the DSW designation indicates that Dyna Sonic pickups are installed, and the Western decorations are used.

Here we have an Ibanez 2461 Johnny Smith style, full body cutaway archtop, built in Japan likely during 1975. The model was built until 1977. Typical of the early 1975 period, it has no serial number – these started appearing on the back of the headstock late 1975. It is largely original, though it has a slight modification – the output jack was a mini-plug mounted on the pickguard, and this was removed and a standard 1/4 inch jack installed to the lower treble side.

The Gretsch G6122TG Country Gentleman Player’s Edition is the latest version of this classic updated with locking tuners, pinned bridge and string-through Bigsby. But there’s more to the updates – the neck joint was re-engineered to reduce the size of the neck block and comfortably increase upper fret access. This change alone is a huge improvement in playability, making an already great design even better!

Ibanez Prestige RG3770FZ HSH Transparent Red, 2014 ( No longer Available)

Built from 2014 to 2017 by Fuji-Gen in Nagano Japan, the Ibanez Prestige RG3770FZ features an HSH DiMarzio pickup setup, Edge double locking trem system. Its Super Wizard neck is wide yet thin, ideal for shredding and it stability is increased by titanium rods. The body is built with a highly figured, bookmatched Maple cap on a Mahogany back, and the neck is 5 pieces of Maple and Walnut.

Goya T-Style Guitar Made in Japan Blonde, 1977 (NO LONGER AVAILABLE)

Here’s a rarity! This is a Goya T-Style copy, built during 1977 by Matsumoku in Nagoya, Japan, under contract to the Martin Guitar company. This Goya T-Style guitar is a decent copy, though not exact. Unusually, it is complete and original, with the ‘Ashtray’ bridge cover and the original hard shell case. The body is Ash, and the neck is Maple, but the fingerboard is a separate Maple slab.
