The Taylor 610e starts with a classic Dreadnought body design, but uses Maple for the sides, back and neck. This model was built from 1998 to 2017, and discontinued as the 2018 V-Class instruments were introduced. This Taylor 610e dates to the September 01, 2015 and is in very good, clean and original condition.

Introduced in 1955 as an intermediate model, the two-pickup, single cutaway Gibson Les Paul Special’s main difference from the GoldTop Les Paul was the lack of a carved Maple top. This model followed the entry level, single P-90 pickup Les Paul Junior that appeared in 1954. Both models used ‘slab’ Mahogany bodies, Mahogany necks and Rosewood fingerboards – at the time, Brazilian Rosewood.

The Martin D-18 Dreadnought shares a number of core design elements with all other Martin Dreadnoughts, a large body with Mahogany neck. What changes from model to model is the wood selection and appointments.

The Taylor 414ce-R Grand Auditorium Rosewood was launched at the 2016 Summer NAMM show, adding a Rosewood option in place of Ovangkol. Rosewood delivers a somewhat warmer and punchier tone. The design is very versatile, with plenty of volume and projection, suitable for everything from fingerstyle to flatpicking. The factory ES2 pickup system makes it ready to plug in should amplification be required.

Here’s an interesting piece: a National Tricone Style 1 with 12-fret neck, used by Colin Linden on various projects including Blackie and the Rodeo Kings! The National Tricone is based on the very first resophonic guitars invented in 1927 by George Beauchamp and built by luthier John Dopyera – with the spun cones and metal bodies made by Adolf Richenbacher.
