National Style O 14 Fret Resophonic Guitar

National Style O 14 Fret Resophonic Guitar

The National Style O 14-fret model dates back to the early days of Resophonic guitars, as banjo players migrated to guitar and wanted access to more fret. The 14-fret to the body Style O was introduced in 1935 by the National Stringed Instrument Corporation. It came with either the Traditional Sieve pattern cover plate or the newly introduced Chicken Foot cover plate. in 1935 this guitar had a slotted headstock with a decal.

❌Sold❌ National Style 1.5 Tricone Resophonic Guitar Nickel, 2004

❌Sold❌ National Style 1.5 Tricone Resophonic Guitar Nickel, 2004

This example of the National Style 1.5 Tricone Resophonic is dated 09-04 (September 2004) and is in overall good condition. The body is brass with nickel plating and a double-line engraving around the edge (the nickel plating presents a few challenges to capturing an image).   Nickel has a tendency to lightly tarnish over time; this is one of the reasons many shifted to Chrome as a longer lasting plating material.

❌ SOLD ❌ National Resophonic Style O Nickel Plate, 2015

The National Resophonic Style O – yes it’s a letter O, not a zero – goes back to the designs of the 1920s and early salvoes in the Guitar Volume Wars. This 12-fret neck example, dating to March 2015 and built at the National plant in San Luis Obispo, California, blends features of the Style O and Style O Deluxe, particularly in the choice of Mother of Pearl diamond shape position markers. It is in pristine condition with the original hard shell case.

SOLD!!! Beard Deco Phonic Model 27 Resophonic Guitar Sunburst

SOLD!!! Beard Deco Phonic Model 27 Resophonic Guitar Sunburst

New from Paul Beard Guitars in Hagerstown Maryland, the Beard Deco Phonic Model 27 square neck evokes the Art Deco stylings of the late 1920s when resophonic guitars were introduced. Using a classic single-resonator design, the Model 27 uses Finnish Birch laminates for the body, solid maple for the neck, and Morado (also called Pau Ferro) for the 25 inch scale fingerboard, and ebony / maple bridge inserts. On the Model 27, the top is bound. These wood choices make the guitar completely CITIES compliant.

National Resophonic T-14 Cutaway Tricone, Weathered Steel

Here we have a National Resophonic T-14 Cutaway Tricone in a Weathered Steel finish. The official model number is ‘T-14WS’, and it’s a slim, steel bodied, three cone resophonic guitar with a 14-fret neck. And at under eight pounds, it weighs less than many solid body electrics! The T-14 Cutaway Tricone is full-scale guitar, at 25.66 inches. This requires a bit more tension on the strings and the cones, which can result in increased volume.
