❌SOLD❌ Gibson ES-135H Thinline Ebony, 2000

❌SOLD❌ Gibson ES-135H Thinline Ebony, 2000

The Gibson ES-135H Thinline was the ‘Humbucker’ equipped version of the ES-135, a single-cut Semi-Hollow Archtop built in Memphis from 1991 to 2004. Many of these models used P-100 pickups – a stacked humbucker with the outline of a P-90. Some models used a stop tailpiece, others as seen here a standard Tune-O-Matic and Trapeze tailpiece combination. The tuners used here are Grover Roto-Matics with metal keystone buttons.

Gibson Satin 335 Dot Trans Ebony, 2006

Gibson Satin 335 Dot Trans Ebony, 2006

For 2006, the Memphis plant introduced the Gibson Satin 335, a somewhat stripped down version of the classic design. Most noticeably, the fingerboard was unbound and the finish is satin – sunburst, cherry or translucent black as seen here. Later versions seem to have restored the fingerboard binding. These models were discontinued with the Memphis plant itself in 2019.

❌SOLD❌ Gibson Les Paul Traditional GoldTop with Bigsby, 2014

❌SOLD❌ Gibson Les Paul Traditional GoldTop with Bigsby, 2014

This guitar is a bit unusual – a Gibson Les Paul Traditional GoldTop with Bigsby, the Bigsby mounted at the factory using a VibraMate kit. During 2014, Gibson offered a number of Les Paul Traditional GoldTop P90 models. A Bigsby was desired, but that normally requires drilling at least two holes in the top.

Gibson Moderne Heritage Limited Natural, 1982

Gibson Moderne Heritage Limited Natural, 1982

Here’s one of the rarest of all Gibson guitars – the Gibson Moderne, designed and registered in June 1957 but not put into production until 1982! At the end of the 1950’s, Gibson had to respond to the Fender juggernaut with flashy new designs, and Ted McCarty developed three in co-operation with prominent Detroit auto designer Ray Dietrich. These three designs, the Explorer, Flying V and Moderne were registered with the US Patent and Trade Mark Office during 1958.

❌SOLD❌ Gibson ES Les Paul Light Burst, 2014

❌SOLD❌ Gibson ES Les Paul Light Burst, 2014

Coming from the now shuttered Memphis plant in 2014, the Gibson ES Les Paul combined classic Les Paul aesthetics with the immensely successful thinline ES concept. Along with the plant, this model has, as such, been discontinued by Gibson’s new management. The new ES-235 is perhaps its replacement in this class. Here we’re looking at a very, clean Gibson ES Les Paul sporting a Light Burst finish. There is very little wear of any type, to the frets, fingerboard, finish or plating.
