Designed in collaboration with Mike Dowling, the National Mike Dowling Signature Model El Trovador is a single cone guitar patterned after the famous 1932-33 El Trovador models. And this one comes with a National Hotplate pickup set installed!

The National Mike Dowling Signature El Trovador with hotplate guitar features a large, 4 inch deep body built from mahogany laminate with a wooden soundwell for the resonator. The body is bound in multi-layer celluloid, with a matching purfling border around the coverplate. The mahogany neck carries an ebony fretboard, and is capped with a rosewood headstock overlay. The El Trovador has a deep, unique voice that makes it a very popular guitar. The National Hot Plate pickup system combines a standard cover plate with a Lollar tele-style pickup, volume and tone controls, and an output jack mount.

With a label date of 9/14 (September 2014) and a signature, this National Mike Dowling Signature Model El Trovador is in overall very good condition. Fret wear is very light and the most noticeable signs of age are natural oxidization of the Nickel plating on the resonator cover / Hotplate.

The original hard shell case is included.
