This 1995 Gibson Les Paul Standard is a great example of the species. In gloss black with creme trim, it has classic elegant lines yet has no problems getting down and dirty when it’s called for.

Always a good idea to have a Les Paul on hand!

Serial Number 91235645, built May 5 1995 at Gibson’s plant in Nashville, Tennessee, USA.

Neck Mahogany neck with creme-bound rosewood fingerboard.
Frets Original medium – jumbo frets with a small amount of wear, particularly in the lower positions. The frets have lots of height so there is plenty of traction for bending.
Body Classic Les Paul body design with maple cap and mahogany back.
Finish Gloss black nitrocellulose lacquer finish in good condition – a small amount of wear marking, expected for an instrument about eight years old.
Hardware/electronics All original hardware in chrome. Gibson Deluxe tuners with plastic keystone buttons, corian nut, Nashville tune-o-matic, stop tailpiece and gold ‘hatbox’ knobs. Two humbucking pickups, pickup selector, individual volume and tone controls.
Playability/Action Plays well and cleanly. The weight is not excessive at 4.2 kilograms and it’s quite well balanced.
