Description:… Here is a D-18 from the early 50’s that has seen some good hard playing time. There are a
few repairs and lots of wear to the finish. The guitar is structurally sound but could use a neck reset to
play well. The tone is full and warm with a nice balance through the bass, middle and treble frequencies.
Neck:… Mahogany neck, rosewood fretboard, 1 11/16″ nut width, 25.5″ scale length, soft V neck profile.
Frets:… Minor fret wear.
Body:… Sitka spruce top, Mahogany sides and back, bone through saddle, side patch repair on back
half, several top crack repairs.
Finish:… Overspray in several areas, dirt in pores on the top, lots of scratches, dents and lacquer
checking.
Hardware/electronics:… Martin tuners with silver buttons.
Playability/Action:… Current height at 9.5/64″ bass side and 7/64″ treble side, guitar needs a neck reset
to play well.
