Caparison guitars have been built in Nagoya, Japan since 1995. The company was founded by the former Charvel / Jackson Japan design team. Actual production was contracted to higher end plants in the area. During 2011, the company entered bankruptcy and exited under new ownership, the Caparison Guitar Co. Ltd based in Cardiff, Wales.
Caparison electric guitars and basses are designed for professional use.
