Luscomb Banjos were built in Boston, Massachusetts by Thompson and Odell from 1888 into the 1905. In 1905 Thompson and Odell was liquidated and sold to Vega, who produced models into the 1920s.
J F Luscomb was a noted banjo soloist and composer and was granted several patents for banjo components, particularly a hoop and tone chamber.
