Here is a rare Custom Shop Fender 70 Esquire Relic with Rosewood fingerboard in translucent blonde, and sporting an added Lollar neck pickup. This model was built in a run of 20 examples during 2008. The Fender Esquire was the first Electric Spanish style guitar to appear in a Fender catalog (all the others were Hawaiian or steel guitars), making its debut in the spring of 1950. This single pickup model didn’t have an adjustable truss rod, but by the fall of 1950, the two-pickup Broadcaster appeared and adjustable truss rods were standard for all the necks.

Drawing from a classic 1930s design, the Collings Orchestra Model OM1 is ideal for finger stylists and flatpickers alike. This Collings Orchestra Model OM1 dates to 2008 and is in good condition, with great action and a good neck set. This model is built using the pairing of a Sitka Spruce top with Tropical Mahogany for the sides, back, body blocks and neck, and Ebony for the bridge fingerboard and head plate.

Here we have a Taylor T5C2 Custom Walnut Top thinline electric, with a pair of humbucking pickups and a concealed Taylor ES system, dating to March 2007. The Taylor T5 has been popular with guitarists who have to fill a variety of musical roles but can’t carry multiple instruments. The mixture of magnetic pickups and acoustic transducers, with Taylor’s Expression System EQ and preamp, make it ideal for filling in for everything from acoustics to electrics.

Based closely on the original double cutaway ‘Shorthorn’ two pickup models, the new Danelectro 59 12 String D5912 features the same ‘Masonite’ and hardwood body construction with a Maple neck and Pau Ferro fingerboard.

The Taylor T5 C2 Koa is now discontinued but was introduced in 2005 to meet the needs of touring musicians who had to pare back the number of instruments they carried. Built to simulate the tones and responses of solidbody, semi-hollow and fully acoustic models, the T5 line succeeded in its aims while also looking great on any kind of stage. This Taylor T5 C2 Koa has a serial number dating it to October 10, 2005. It’s built with Sapele for the back and sides, with nicely figured Hawaiian Koa for the top. The neck is also Sapele, with a bound Ebony fingerboard sporting the ‘Spires’ inlay pattern.
