Eastman PCH3 GACE Grand Auditorium Steel String Guitar

Eastman PCH3 GACE Grand Auditorium Steel String Guitar

The grand auditorium body used on the Eastman PCH3 GACE is comfortable and versatile, and takes cues from another very popular brand;  until recently, many guitars were based on classic Martin and Gibson designs.   It performs well for both fingerstyle and strumming and the solid Sitka spruce top has good dynamics and clarity.

Boucher HG54 M Heritage Goose Parlor 12 Fret Guitar

Boucher HG54 M Heritage Goose Parlor 12 Fret Guitar

Here is a lovely Boucher HG54 M Heritage Goose Parlor 12 Fret Guitar, built with a Torrefied Adirondack Spruce top and Indian Rosewood for the back and sides. Once a dominant guitar design, the Parlor style guitar’s popularity faded along with the banjo and the introduction of Jumbo or Dreadnought body sizes in the early 1930’s. Parlor guitars tend not to be particularly loud, but do offer even, rich tone. As more players become interested in solo finger styles, the Parlor design is becoming more attractive again and builders are offering high-quality takes, such as the Boucher HG54 M.

❌SOLD❌ Larrivee LV19 Special Vine Edition, 2002

The Larrivee LV19 Special Vine Edition was built only during 2002, in a run of fifty instruments featuring a spectacular engraved ‘tree of life’ vine inlay. Here we’re looking at a Larrivee LV19 Special Vine Edition, dating to September 10, 2002 and built at the then-new Larrivee shop in Oxnard, California. The LV-19 is now a discontinued model, but the “LV” indicated the classically-derived Larrivee body while the “19” denotes a step up from the “09” trim, adding Rosewood binding.

The G W Barry M Body guitar is a very successful and versatile design based on the classic OM introduced by Martin, with a long scale neck on a 000 sized body. G W Barry has been building for decades starting with years for Jean Larrivee, and his skill at not only building but also voicing is evident in this 23-year old M body cutaway model. This particular guitar was recently rebuilt by Barry, with work including a neck reset with fret dress and a neck-off refinish of the top that included a repair to a top crack.

❌SOLD❌ PRS Standard Solidbody Tobacco Sunburst, 1987

❌SOLD❌ PRS Standard Solidbody Tobacco Sunburst, 1987

The PRS Standard appeared in 1987 as an evolutionary step and as a model rename from the 1985 PRS model, with carved top, all Mahogany construction except for the 1o inch radius, 25 inch scale Rosewood fingerboard. Until 1991, Brazilian Rosewood was used for fingerboards on this model. Here we’re looking at a PRS Standard, built during 1987 in Stevensville, Maryland and sporting a dark tobacco sunburst model, which transitions to a darker red on the back and neck.
