David Wren has been building since the 1970’s, after apprenticing (like so many of Canada’s top luthiers) with Jean Larrivee. David Wren’s Studio line was made during the early 1980’s as a simpler, lower-priced ‘standard production’ alternative to the rather more expensive custom order models that most builders create.
