Huss & Dalton TOMR Custom

Huss & Dalton TOMR Custom

Here we have a new Huss & Dalton TOMR Custom featuring a Thermo-Cured Sitka Spruce top and Indian Rosewood back and sides! The model name breaks down to Traditional Orchestra Model Rosewood. On this guitar, the Custom refers to the choice of the thermo-cured Sitka top;  it’s also available with an Adirondack or Red Spruce top, and without the thermo-cure. Thermo-cured wood is also known as baked, torrefied, and by Martin as part of their VTS (vintage tone system). The process uses controlled, high heat, atmospheric pressure and minimal oxygen and simulates aging.

❌SOLD❌ Gibson ES225T Thinline Archtop Electric Sunburst, 1958

❌SOLD❌ Gibson ES225T Thinline Archtop Electric Sunburst, 1958

Introduced in 1955 and built until 1959, the Gibson ES225T was one of the first three new Thinline guitars with the Byrdland and the ES-350T. The ES-225T had the lowest price of the three and used the Les Paul trapeze tailpiece. Most models sported a single P-90 pickup in the middle position, though from 1956 to 1959 the ES-225TD – thinline and double pickup – was available. Both of these versions were discontinued shortly after the 1958 introduction of the very popular ES-335 and ES-355; the ES-345 appeared in 1959.

❌SOLD❌ Martin D12 20 12 String Guitar Natural, 1968

❌SOLD❌ Martin D12 20 12 String Guitar Natural, 1968

The Martin D12 20 was a slope shouldered, 12-fret 12 string guitar built from 1964 to 1991 with a Sitka Spruce top and Mahogany for the sides, back and neck. Here we’re looking at a Martin D12 20 dating to February of 1968 and built at the Martin plant in Nazareth, Pennsylvania. As a ’20’ model, it is very close to an ’18’ and the key differentiating component is the ‘zipper’ back strip. The top is Sitka Spruce – Adirondack Spruce had been overharvested during WW2 and it would still be decades for recovery. The sides, back, and slotted-headstock neck are Honduran Mahogany and, by the time this post-1967 guitar was built, Indian Rosewood was used for the head plate, bridge and unbound fingerboard.

Pre-Sold‼ G W Barry OM Cutaway Bearclaw Adirondack Top, 2020

Pre-Sold‼ G W Barry OM Cutaway Bearclaw Adirondack Top, 2020

Here is a brand new, pre-sold G W Barry OM cutaway model with a Bearclaw Spruce top, demonstrating Barry’s great skill in guitar building. Quality Adirondack Spruce is hard to come by… the elusive “bear-claw” feature present in this example is rare, to say the least. The stiffness exhibited by it allows for a top with a much higher “threshold” of volume and tone. Dynamics are at the heart of this choice, retaining detail for both lower and higher attack styles.

SOLD!!! Seagull Coastline Momentum CH Concert Hall Natural Gloss

The Seagull Coastline Momentum CH HG A/E is another excellent guitar from the Godin family in Quebec. This precise model has been discontinued but we’ve still got a few of them in stock! The name indicates that this guitar is part of the Coastline Momentum line, CH for Concert Hall body shape, HG for High Gloss finish, and A/E ‘Acoustic Electric’. The CH ‘Concert Hall’ body is an equivalent to the classic Orchestra Model body used successfully by many builders since its introduction in the early 1930s.
