It’s been a while since we’ve seen a vintage Fender Telecaster in as good shape as this one, which is all original except for a Stainless Steel refret by Douglas Harrison. Introduced in 1950 as the Esquire, and then upgraded with a second pickup in the neck position

The Deering Tenbrooks Saratoga Star is one of the finest banjos in the Deering production line, combining the Tenbrooks hardware with highly figured Maple neck and resonator. Here we’re looking at a Deering Tenbrooks Saratoga Star, built during 2006 and recently set up with a new nut at The Twelfth Fret Repair Shop.

Fender 60th Anniversary Telecaster Blonde, 2011

The Fender 60th Anniversary Telecaster hews closely to the original 1951 design but also brings in meaningful modern improvements. The subtle nature of those improvements gives credit to the genius of Leo Fender’s creation; the most visible changes are a six-saddle bridge, modern staggered-post tuners, micro-tilt RW/RP pickups, medium-high fret wire and a ‘Delta Tone’ no-load tone control circuit.

Taylor 912ce Builder’s Edition Shaded Burst, 2021

Here is a nearly-new Taylor 912ce Builder’s Edition steel string guitar, built during 2021 at El Cajon, California, sporting a shaded burst top! This example is in great condition with very little wear. The first Builder’s Edition guitar from the 900 Series blends the style and sound of a rosewood/spruce Grand Concert with inviting, player-friendly features. Built to the exacting specifications of comfort and tone developed by Andy Powers, the Taylor 912ce features back and sides of solid East Indian rosewood paired with a Lutz spruce top.

Deering White Lotus 5-String Banjo Natural, 2019

This is a lovely Deering White Lotus 5-string banjo, built using American White Oak, with a stained Maple fingerboard, but without a tone ring. The choices of woods are interesting, being aimed at musicality and sustainability; these are native to the area where the instrument was built.

Fender Jazz Bass American Original 60s Olympic White 2017

Here is a Fender Jazz Bass American Original 60’s in an Olympic White Nitrocellulose Lacquer finish like the 60’s originals, and in great shape. Fender introduced the Jazz Bass in 1960 as the ‘Deluxe’ but quickly changed the name to the ‘Jazz Bass’. The aim was to target a group who hadn’t fully moved away from acoustic instruments – jazz players, with a narrower neck and tighter, more focused pickup response.
