It’s been produced with a number of variations over time; the first big change was the availability of a rosewood fingerboard in the late 1950’s.

The first Turner Model 1 guitar was built for Lindsay Buckingham at the height of Fleetwood Mac’s career, and it appeared on massive hits. Using a mahogany body with maple neck and a unique rotatable pickup, this guitar was based on an 1835 Stauffer body shape. Rick Turner has founded a number of companies, including Alembic, worked for companies like Gibson and run his own shop.
