The Ibanez S61AL Axion Label is a slim double cutaway guitar with curvy lines and a fast playing neck. In contrast to the sharper lines of the Ibanez RG line this guitar takes more cues from other classic double cutaways. However, the reverse headstock, arched top and black mirage gradation finish certainly provide a modern aesthetic as well. The body of the Ibanez S61AL is made from Nyatoh which is often used as cost effective substitute for mahogany and it has a warm tone with full lower midrange. The flame maple cap adds a little bit of brightness and looks killer with the black mirage gradation finish.

The Ibanez RGD71AL Axion Label offers a seven string version of this modern body shape. This seven string features a layered ash body with a flamed maple top which looks great with the satin antique brown stained burst. The Nitro wizard 5 piece neck is solid but slim enough for fast playing and the scale length on these models is 26.5” which provides better tension for a seventh string and lower tunings. The longer scale length also offers a stronger note fundamental and clarity for the lower notes. The electronics are straight forward with two Dimarzio Fusion Edge humbuckers a single volume control and three way pickup selector.
The Prestige series, including the Ibanez RG5121 Prestige are high quality guitars made in Japan with excellent craftsmanship, components, quality finishes and attention to detail. These models are almost all built at the Fuji-Gen plant. The Ibanez RG5121 Prestige is a double cutaway RG body shape with an African mahogany body. Mahogany is a medium to heavy weight wood with a warm full tone with good sustain.
The Ibanez RGD61ALMS Axion Label guitar features aggressive yet classy looks, and a modern feature set including a multiscale or fan-fret fingerboard. The RGD body shape is a double cutaway body with bass side arm bevel. The layered Ash and Nyatoh body has a nice balance of warmth and treble snap and the flamed maple top looks beautiful with cerulean blue burst.
