Introduced in 1964 and built until 1982 as a student model, the Fender Mustang has also been used by a number of touring professionals, including Adrian Belew, Kurt Cobain, David Byrne, John Frusciante and of course the late Johnny Winter. Here we’re looking at a Fender Mustang in Sunburst finish, built during 1973 at the Fender Fullerton plant, almost halfway through the period of CBS ownership.

Built using a one-piece Mahogany body under a solid carved Maple cap, and one-piece Mahogany neck with Ebony for the fingerboard and head plate, the Eastman SB56 is intended to look and act like a mid 1950’s gold top P-90 equipped model, and does a great job of it.

As a ‘Vintage’ style model, this guitar has undergone an treatment process to simulate the wear of decades of use – except for fretwear.

Here’s an always-fun guitar – a Gibson ES125TDC thinline cutaway archtop electric guitar with a pair of P-90’s and several upgrades! As stock, the Gibson ES125TDC – ES stands for Electric Spanish (as opposed to Hawaiian) and the TDC initials expand to Thinline, Double Pickup and with a Cutaway  has a pair of P-90 pickups with black plastic ‘Dog Ear’ covers, indicating the screw tabs used to mount the cover and pickup to the guitar top.
