Gibson Les Paul Signature Thinline Gold Top, 1973 ❌SOLD❌

Gibson Les Paul Signature Thinline Gold Top, 1973 ❌SOLD❌

Introduced during 1973 and built until 1979 – the Norlin era – the Gibson Les Paul Signature Thinline Gold Top, is a rarity, and as a guitar has never been re-issued in any form. We have seen in-person one other example, during the 1980s, in The Twelfth Fret repair shop. Approximately 1,400 Gold Top models were built, and under 100 in Sunburst. It was also available as a bass. This model uses the construction of an ES-335, but its asymmetrical body has approximately the top half of a 335 and the bottom half of a Les Paul.

❌SOLD❌ BC Rich Bich Supreme Maple Natural, 1995

Designed by Neal Moser while Bernardo Rico was out of the country, the BC Rich Bich first appeared in the 1976 catalog as a 10-string model. Like most other BC Rich models of the time, the Bich used a neck-through design with ‘wings’ added to provide the body shape for the center neck-body section. The BC Rich Bich Supreme seen here is in great condition with very little wear.

❌SOLD❌ Gibson Les Paul Special Cherry, 2010

The Gibson Les Paul Special first appeared in 1955, as the fourth version of the now-classic model. The first was the 1952 Gold-Top Les Paul, which was revised in 1953 and 1954 to allow for a steeper neck angle and the introduction of first a stop-bar bridge and then the Tune-O-Matic and stop tailpiece combination.

❌SOLD❌ Gretsch 7655 Chet Atkins Tennessean Shaded Cherry, 1974

❌SOLD❌ Gretsch 7655 Chet Atkins Tennessean Shaded Cherry, 1974

This Gretsch 7655, a Chet Atkins Tennessean in a shaded cherry finish, dates to October of 1974 and appears to be in very good, clean and original condition. This guitar is from the Baldwin era and was built in Booneville, Arkansas. In 1958, Gretsch launched the original Tennessean as model 6119, placing it below their very popular 6120 Chet Atkins model. The ElectroTone (sealed) single-cutaway body was thinner, and at first it had one Filter ‘Tron in the bridge position.
