⚌Reduced‼ Gretsch Streamliner 6189 Bamboo-Copper Mist, 1957

Here’s a real beauty – built from 1954 to 1958, the Gretsch Streamliner 6189 was a single pickup version of the 6120. This Gretsch Streamliner 6189 sports the two-tone Bamboo Yellow top and Copper Mist finish and dates to 1957. For the 1957 model year, the headstock changed to remove the vertical ‘Electromatic’ logo and the ‘G-Arrow’ volume and tone control knobs for the deArmond DynaSonic pickup.

❌SOLD❌Gretsch Anniversary 6118 Two Tone Smoke Green 1964

❌SOLD❌Gretsch Anniversary 6118 Two Tone Smoke Green 1964

Here we have a very nice Gretsch Anniversary 6118 in Two Tone Smoke Green, built during 1964 in Brooklyn, New York. The Gretsch Anniversary Models were introduced as lower cost versions of the popular 6120 during 1958 to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the company’s 1883 founding. This Gretsch Anniversary 6118 dates to 1964 and is in very nice condition, with no binding deterioration. The Two Tone Smoke Green finish shows natural and expected lacquer checking but the colours are rich and vibrant with very little physical damage otherwise. This guitar appears to be all original, with one subtle modification – the black plastic pickup inserts have been removed and flipped to be all black, with the ‘Gretsch’ logo hidden and facing down.

❌SOLD❌Gretsch 6125 Single Anniversary Smoke Green, 1959

❌SOLD❌Gretsch 6125 Single Anniversary Smoke Green, 1959

The Gretsch 6125 Single Anniversary appeared in 1958 as an evolution of the Streamliner, itself based on the popular Chet Atkins 6120 model and in 1959 featured Trestle Bracing and the new patent applied for Filter ‘Tron hum cancelling pickup designed by Ray Butts. Here we’re looking at an all original Gretsch 6125 Single Anniversary in Smoke Green Two Tone. It’s in very nice condition, a very good neck angle and minimal wear to the finish and frets. There is a bit of binding damage, typical to Gretsch models of the era (due to long-term interaction between the binding and the binding glue), only on the short piece of binding next to the heel on the cutaway.

❌SOLD❌ Gretsch Anniversary 6124 Archtop Electric Guitar Sunburst, 1963

Originally built between 1958 and 1972, the Gretsch Anniversary 6124 was the Sunburst version of the two-tone 6125 model, both based on the successful 6120 Chet Atkins model. In its first two years, the Anniversary 6124/6125 carried a single Filter ‘Tron humbucking pickup at the neck, but from 1961 a single coil Hi-Lo ‘Tron was used. The basic structure or bones of the Gretsch Anniversary 6124 is very similar to the 6120, with a fully hollow, 16 inch wide body using parallel tone bar bracing and no sound post.
