Taylor 512ce Cedar Top Grand Concert Steel String

Taylor 512ce Cedar Top Grand Concert Steel String

The Taylor 512ce is a dream guitar for the fingerstyle player. The small grand concert body shape provides a very compact and comfortable playing experience and requires less energy to get the top moving. This allows players with a light touch to get a full sound from a smaller body. The Western Red Cedar top of the Taylor 512ce has lovely touch sensitivity and a warm midrange.  Red Cedar is used extensively on higher end classical guitars, as its voice develops faster than Spruce and is very responsive.

Taylor 712ce 12 Fret Grand Concert Steel String Guitar

Taylor 712ce 12 Fret Grand Concert Steel String Guitar

Made in El Cajon California, the Taylor 712ce 12 fret is a beautifully compact and comfortable guitar packed with tone enhancing features. The Grand Concert body size is one of Taylor’s smaller body shapes which is very easy to handle but produces a lot of volume and tone for its size. The Taylor 712ce’s 12th fret neck joint shifts the bridge further down the lower bout of the guitar, enhancing midrange and a warmer played-in type of sound. The new V class bracing pattern designed by master luthier Andy Powers helps to boost the overall volume and sustain on this model.

❌SOLD❌ Godin Multiac Grand Concert Satin Gloss, 2002

The Godin Multiac Grand Concert has become a very successful and immensely practical instrument, and is based directly on the Gibson Chet Atkins CE Classical Electric from 1981.
By the early 1980s, Chet Atkins had shifted largely to playing nylon string guitars, but the instruments available at the time were strictly acoustic and not really suited to the realities of touring, and amplified or broadcast stages. On Atkin’s request, Gibson produced two models of a solidbody nylon string guitar, using Mahogany for the neck and a slab body, adding a Spruce top.

❌SOLD❌ Taylor 712 with Fishman Pickup, 1997

❌SOLD❌ Taylor 712 with Fishman Pickup, 1997

Here’s a lovely Taylor 712 from 1997, before pickups were stock, and it’s a very nice guitar for fingerstyle playing – well rounded with full, evenly balanced tone. The Taylor 712 in this form is no longer available. The 712 is now mostly presented as the Taylor 712 ce, for Cutaway Electric, and most often in 12-fret neck format, with slotted peghead. However, the construction has the same basis in the Grand Concert body, roughly equivalent to a Martin OOO body size. It features a Sitka Spruce top paired with Indian Rosewood for the back and sides, Mahogany for the body blocks, linings and neck, and Ebony for the bridge and bound fingerboard.

❌SOLD❌ Johnny Walker Grand Concert Cutaway Classical Guitar, 2010

Here is a rarity – a fine Johnny Walker Grand Concert cutaway classical guitar, built during 2010 at Walker’s shop in the heartlands of Bartlesville, Oklahoma. Originally trained as a research chemist, Johnny Walker developed an interest in classical guitar and while taking lessons, decided to build a better guitar from a kit.  That worked out well and led to another, then another, and by 1966 Johnny Walker Guitars was born.
